A delicate balance in colour and material selection was the key to being able to enjoy a pink yet soothing living room. Our designer, Trina, carefully selected a subtle birch texture for Mimunah’s TV feature wall and floor which blended in harmoniously with the baby pink and rose painted walls. A little chandelier hangs in the middle of the living room, further reflecting the charm of the Victorian era.
In order to help Mimunah with cost savings, Trina sourced for the Victorian beadings (the white wooden frames on the walls) from a niche wood supplier, and spray painted and pasted these beadings onto the wall herself! The family was very pleased with the outcome of Trina’s hard work and efforts.
To turn down the heat in the kitchen visually, white was chosen as the predominant colour in the kitchen. To retain the Victorian style in the home, Mimunah retained a similar texture for the kitchen cabinets and added a classy touch with the use of brass finished knobs on the doors and drawers. Trina also recommended a kitchen backwall with bricks finishing to fit into the entire Victorian theme.
The pink theme continues where dreams are made.
